the same footing as your Petitioners, and that Senior Overseers

and Senior Sanitary Inspectors are to receive £480.

16. In view of the preceding statements your Petitioners

again respectfully submit that for the present they should be put

on the same footing as the Land Bailiffs and First Class Over-

seers, Public Works Department, and the First Class Sanitary

Inspectors, with salaries from £320 to 2360, and that if the

salaries of the Bailiffs, Overseere and Sanitary Inspectors are

again raised your Petitioners' salaries should also be increased

equally.

16.

Your Petitioners further submit that the maximum pay

of all these posts should be raised from £360 to £480 at least or

to such other maximum as may be fixed for the Senior Overseers

P. W. D. and Senior Banitary Inspectors with whom your Petitioners

should ultimately be on an equal footing.
